Lightbox Challenge

My submission for the Lightbox Expo challenge. Since there was no actual theme but only some indication on what mood the characters hat to express I approached the early drafts on paper and started to see where the lines got me. They got me to some kind of Space Army (maybe because I just had finish watching Steve Carell's Space Force? We'll never know...). I decided to go on a fully alien team, I felt it allowed me to explore more shapes than regular humans. My main references are Star Trek and Voltron (the Dreamworks one) for the uniform designs, while for the alien looks I studied Akira Toriyama's work during the Freiza arc on Dragonball.
